| Tourist Information |
There is much to see and enjoy in Newcastle and surrounds. The
most distinctive building in the town, a 1960's Roman Catholic Church
with a green copper parasol roof, is visible from afar.
The beautiful Mountains
of Mourne, immortalised in song are the best known mountains
in Ireland. The barren peak of Slieve Donard dominates the mysterious
landscape. For the more adventurous, an afternoon's climb from the
carpark at Bloody Bridge, Newcastle will provide you with the most
amazing views.
Royal
County Down Golf Club, the No.1 Club in Europe and host to the
British Open for the next 5 years is on your doorstep. Many watersports
including skiing, scuba diving and canoeing are also available to
our visitors. |
